Post Baby Body…

September 25, 2010

I gained right around 24 lbs with Baby Lady, which I didn’t think that was terrible.  I started out slightly over what I wanted to weigh but I would have considered myself active and getting back into better shape (umm, can I tell you how much I miss climbing?!?)  I’ve lost all that baby weight and then some.  I’m down about 9 lbs from where I was when I got prego (not from the first time they weighed me at the dr, I have different starting points in my head, just let me continue thinking I only gained 24 lbs.)

So I’m down 9 lbs from where I was last year and my pants still don’t fit right.  I now have this strange area around my midsection that I used to think only nana’s had.  I guess nana’s have them because they had babies!  So now my clothes fit all different if they fit at all and I stress everyday about what I’m going to wear.  I have to be careful with my shirts because by the end of the day, the ta-tas are all big and filled with milk (yes, I’m still pumping but that’s for another post) that the shirt doesn’t fit and gets all tight and porn star boobs are not workplace appropriate.

I have to find a dress to wear to my sister’s wedding (10-10-10, kinda a quick thing so don’t get all huffy that I had all this time to find something) and she’s giving me free reign and I can’t find anything to fit my post baby body.  I want something that looks nice but will also not show baby spit up and miraculously make my body look like I’ve lost another 30 lbs, that shouldn’t be too hard to find, no?

Ugh!

I may just end up wearing a brown dress that I already have, but half the fun in going to an event is getting new things to wear to that event.

Sidebar: I would totally post what Baby Lady is wearing because we got such a great deal at Once Upon A Child that I need to show it off, but it’s going to be a surprise for Auntie A.  Let me just tell you that we got a Janie and Jack dress with tags on it for $6.50!
